Candice Nicole McCart

Candice Nicole McCart, a beloved mother, “Mimi, and sister, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, age 42. She was born in Orange Park on April 12, 1984 to Jack McCart and Jo Burkhalter McCart. Candice was a woman of strong faith and enjoyed attending church when she was able. To know Candice was to love her. She had a bubbly, outgoing personality and loved to laugh. She enjoyed going out with family and friends, where she’d typically be spotted in her trademarked pink and camo clothes. Candice enjoyed a simple, peaceful life at home with her friends. She was an adoring mother, loving sister, but the most important role in her life was being a “Mimi”.

She worked for several years in restaurant management.

She leaves behind her three children, Roni Adams of Jacksonville, Matt Johnson of Middleburg, and Anna Rocca of Yulee; grandbaby, Lyla; mother, Jo McCart of Jacksonville; grandmother, Martha Ann Burkhalter of Jacksonville; siblings, Alexis Norman of Macclenny, Megan (John Jacobs) Waller of Titusville, and Brody Waller of Middleburg; nephews, Logan Wright and Oliver Norman; adopted grandbaby, Harley; special friends, Hailie, Brianna, Amanda, Jenn, and Loretta; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other friends.
