Charles StanleyEarl King, 61 of Glen St. Mary, was reunited with his bride in heaven on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Charles was the son of Allan and Sylvia (Tyson) King, born in San Diego, California on August 28, 1964. Charles proudly served his country for four years in the United States Navy, spending time aboard the USS Saratoga and the USS Edward McDonnell. He went on to become an iron worker and a member of Union 597. Charles was a provider for his family and always ensured that his family had a roof over their head, clothes to wear, and food to eat. He enjoyed the outdoors in his free time, fishing and gardening. He loved to tinker around on cars, mowers, and anything else that needed fixing or a tune up. Charles was also a diehard Florida Gator fan.

He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Allan and Lori King; and his beloved wife just earlier this year, Mrs. Frances Elaine King.

He leaves behind his loving children, Matthew (Larissa) King of Brazil, and April King, Michael (Kendra) Hatfield, and Jerry (Courtney) Hatfield all of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Isabella, Theo, Julian, Matteo, Jaime, Payton, Chris, Rylie, Willow, and Paisley; mother, Sylvia King; his siblings, Allan (Teresa) King, Clarence King, Jake King, LeeAnn King, and Trisha Logston; as well as a host of extended family members.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home with Rev. Karl Hall officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at North Prong Cemetery.
