Daniel Randolph Cain, Sr., known affectionately as “Ronnie” or “Ron”, passed from this life on Friday, January 30, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born in Moultrie, Georgia on October 13, 1951, Ronnie was the son of Eural E. and Mary F. (Young) Cain. He was a lifelong resident of Baker County and worked for many years in the steel fabrication industry.
Ronnie liked to spend his down time with family and friends. He loved music and was a skilled drummer. In his younger years, he could often be found at the beach and was an avid surfer. He was a longtime NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching the races.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Daniel “Ronnie” Cain, Jr.
He leaves behind two children, Angela Cain of Jacksonville and Jeremy (Amy) Cain of Macclenny; grandchildren, Kristin (Brandon) Robertson, Karissa (Randy) Davis, Zak (Hope) Cain, Madison (Trevor) Brock, Dylan Fontaine, Parker Fontaine, Lyric Murphy (Chris), Hannah Cribb, Garrett (Abbie) Cain, Kayla Collins (Jace), Julia Cain, and Emma Cain; great-grandchildren, Colson and Bennett Cribb, Bryson and Bowen Robertson, Korben, Darcee, Kenleigh, and Karleigh Davis, Tate, Nash, and Emmy Brock, and Myleigh McKinney; his significant other of eighteen years, Ms. Becky Smith of Macclenny; siblings, Larry (Anita) Cain of Macclenny and Rose Cain Johns of Waycross; daughter-in-law, Carrie Cain of Macclenny; as well as extended family and friends.
A celebration of Ronnie’s life will be held Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 5:00 PM, at Crews Farm, 6852 Cattle Gap Lane, Glen St. Mary, Florida, 32040.
