David Aubrey Davidson, known affectionately as “Dave”, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont. Dave was a well respected figure in the retail industry in Central Florida, working for many years for Sam’s Club, eventually working as a district manager and for the last several years for T-ROC, as a Vice President until his retirement last November. 

Dave was born in Charleston, West Virginia on December 18, 1962 to proud parents, Harold and Audra (Salyers) Davidson. Dave excelled in the work force and worked in several states because of his success. He enjoyed his time in places like Texas, Tennessee, Georgia and eventually Florida. He fought a hard battle of balancing his fandom for both Tennessee Volunteer and West Virginia Mountaineer sports teams, and was even known to rock apparel of both teams when they faced off with one another. He was a loving family man who cherished his time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He and his wife enjoyed going to rock concerts, sporting events, and vacations to beaches everywhere together. Dave never met a stranger and was a great mentor and leader. Dave always showed up for everyone, 100%.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.

He leaves behind his wife of twenty six years, Kim (Walton) Davidson of Clermont; children, Ryan (Sarah) Davidson of North Carolina, Brittany (Randy) Fuqua of Alabama, and Ashley (Ryan) Robinson of Lawtey; grandchildren, Trey, Hayden, Taryn, Olivia, Charlotte, Aubrey, and Rhett; a brother, Andy Davidson of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania; as well as a host of in laws, nieces, and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held privately to family. A Celebration of Dave’s Life will be held at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, 561 Chaffee Point Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32221 at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jimmy V Cancer Foundation and St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

The staff of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home is honored to serve the Davidson family during their time of loss.
