Donald Steven Zarrella, Sr.

Donald Steven Zarrella, Sr. Age 74 of Sanderson, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025. Donald was born on October 4, 1950 to Mr. Louis and Victoria (Wolowitz) Zarrella in Newark, New Jersey. Donald would proudly serve his country in the United States Navy and later worked for the state of Florida as an Agricultural Law Enforcement Officer for nearly thirty years. He was a devout catholic and a member of St. Mary Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. In his free time, Mr. Zarrella enjoyed reading and watching television. He also enjoyed camping and was a talented woodworker.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Donald Steven Zarrella, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Zarrella of Sanderson; daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” (Lee) of Sanderson; grandchildren, Garrett, Brittany, Leo, Victor, and Cheyenne; brother, Michael (Linda) Zarrella of California; as well as extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at St. Mary Mother of Mercy Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Father Martin Raj officiating. Interment will follow in Olustee Cemetery.
