Evelyn Estelle Parker

Evelyn Estelle Parker, 75 of Glen St. Mary, passed from this life and into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 after an extended illness. Evelyn was the daughter of James E. and Ernestine (Peacock) Wallace, born on August 10, 1948. She would work for a number of years for Bell South, later AT&T, as an emergency operator.

Evelyn kept Jesus first, family a close second, followed by her love for her famous cooking. She was known affectionately as “NeNe” to her grandkids, and anyone else who needed a “NeNe”. She loved spending time on her front porch drinking sweet tea, feeding the fish in her pond, and most importantly, being around her family. She also enjoyed dancing, especially to Alan Jackson. Ms. Evelyn will be remembered for her kind, calm, loving personality.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves behind her children, Carmen “Mindy” Hort of Ponte Vedra Beach and Steven Parker of Glen St. Mary; grandchildren, Kaylee (Noureddine) Talbi, Kasey (Dallas) Saladin, Payton (Carleigh) Parker, and Pierce (Mackenzie Williams) Parker; as well as extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Evelyn’s Life will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Raiford Road Church at 12:00 PM with Rev. Tommy Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM.
