Frances Elaine King

Frances Elaine King, a beloved wife, mother,  grandmother, and sister, passed from this life peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Frances was born in Orange Park on August 27, 1959, the daughter of Richard and Nancy (Brinkley) Eddins. She would attend Jones Business College of Jacksonville and received her associate’s degree. Frances dedicated years of her life to Community Connections, working in the accounting field.

Away from work, Frances was a dedicated wife, mother, and caregiver to anyone in need. Her home was a place of comfort and love for many people throughout the years. She enjoyed watching the birds eat from her bird feeders and loved her fur babies that she diligently took care of.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ricky Eddins.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles King of Glen St. Mary; children, Matthew (Larissa) King of Brazil, and April King, Michael (Kendra) Hatfield, and Jerry (Courtney) Hatfield all of Jacksonville; grand kids whom she adored, Isabella, Theo, Julian, Matteo, Jaime, Payton, Chris, Rylie, Willow, and Paisley; siblings, Paul Nugent, James Eddins, Betty Eddins, and Lisa Anderson; as well as extended family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 27, 2026 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home with Rev. Karl Hall officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at North Prong Cemetery.
