Howard Junior Hunter

Mr. Howard Junior Hunter, age 71, of Bryceville, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018.
He was born February 23, 1947 in Jasper, Alabama to the late Mr. Lecil and Maurine (Boyd) Hunter.
A longtime employee of Gerdau Ameristeel, Mr. Hunter worked as a mill coordinator. After retirement, Howard enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In his free time he watched the news and college football, being an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He will be remembered as a caring and loving man.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years: Shirley Hunter of Bryceville; son: Mark (Darla) Hunter of St. George; daughters: Kelly (Mark) Law, Michele Hunter, and Stacy (Tobias) Nelson all of Bryceville; brother: Danny Hunter of Macclenny; sisters: Diane (Raymond) Guy and Pricilla (Eddie) Wilcutts both of Macclenny; grandchildren: Christopher Wilson, Scott Wilson, Larry Wilson III, Dustin Durden, Hunter Durden, Haley Morgan, Mark Hunter, Casey Hunter, Katlin Hunter, and Donald Holmes; great grandchildren: Trenton Hunter, Dexter Hunter, Anna Hunter, Mason Hunter, Rayna Wilson, Jackson Holmes, and Larry Wilson IV. Numerous other family members and friends also survive.
Mr. Hunter is preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Roger Dale Hunter.
Graveside services for Mr. Hunter will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at Taylor Cemetery, Sanderson. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
