James Anthony Kyer, Sr.
January 29, 1965 — June 3, 2025
Mr. James Anthony Kyer, Sr., age 60, of Sanderson passed away Tuesday, June 3rd at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Kyer was born in Arlington, Virginia to Jennings “Jack” and Sandra (Lambert) Kyer on January 29, 1965. He proudly served in the United States Navy and recieved an honorable discharge. James worked for many years in the manufacturing industry. He liked to spend his free time outdoors, offroading and fishing in particular. James was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins/Commanders.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Kyer; and a brother, Jennings A. Kyer.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Kyer of Sanderson; children, James Anthony Kyer, II(Larissa) and Sandra Nicole Canady; four granddaughters; his mother, Sandra Kyer-Cosner; and brothers, Jerald Kyer and Jeffrey Kyer.
A Celebration of James’ life will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home.
