James L. Carter

Mr. James L. Carter, age 57 of Panacea, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016. Mr. Carter enjoyed being a commercial fisherman for many years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his son: Bryan Carter of Crawfordville; daughter: Amanda Carter of Marianna; grandchildren: Cheyenne Carter, Chase Carter, and Bryce Carter; father: Paris Carter of Louisiana; brother: Joseph "Mike" Carter of Tallahassee; and sister: Ruby Washington of Louisiana. Several nieces and nephews also survive. His family will celebrate his life privately, at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny. 904-259-4600.
