James Freeman McMahan, Jr, 76 of Sanderson, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025. James was born on August 2, 1948 in Jacksonville to James F and Mary (Rogers) McMahan. James was honorably discharged from the Air Force after 4 years of service as a Sec Policeman/sentry Dog handler and also worked as a soil sampler at GeoTech.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Christopher D. McMahan and Matthew W. McMahan.
He is survived by his parents, James F. and Mary (Rogers) McMahan; sister, Ellen Dawn Vaughan; grandchildren, Christopher McMahan Jr., Ashly L. Morgan, and Hunter McMahan; and great grandchildren, Kasely L. McMahan, Georgia L. Morgan, and Gray L. Morgan.
