Jennifer Ann Heinz

Jennifer Ann “Jenna” Heinz, 47 of Glen St. Mary, passed from this life Thursday, May 8, 2025 after an extended illness. Jenna was the daughter of Michael and Katherine (Greif) Heinz, born on July 7, 1977 in Portsmouth, Virginia. Jennifer had spent the last twenty five years here in Baker County and worked as a hairdresser. She was passionate about her work, as well as doing makeup. She loved playing music, reading and art. Above all else, she loved being a mother to her two boys.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Heinz; and her husband, David Kenneth Scalf.

She is survived by her sons, Damian Scalf and Leo Cottrell; mother, Katherine “Kaycee” Heinz of Glen St. Mary; sister, Karlie Heinz; grandmother, Helen Heinz of Longwood; and uncles and aunts, Karl (Maria) Heinz of Bonita, California, Jeffrey Heinz of Gulf Breeze, Michael (Kierstan) Greif of Tallahassee, and Holly (Robert) Jackson of Stuart.

A memorial service will be held Monday, May 19, 2025 in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Final memorialization will be by cremation and Jenna will be interred in Bushnell National Cemetery alongside her husband.
