Joan Marie Easton

Joan Marie Easton left this earth on Thursday, July 9, but she also left an enduring mark on this world and on the lives of those who knew and loved her.

Marie was not an easy woman to love. She made you earn it, but once you did, it was truly something special. You would forever have a fierce warrior in your corner, ready to do battle with—and for—those she counted as her own.

Marie had a very difficult life that began far too early. She endured many forms of abuse, both physical and emotional, as well as debilitating health conditions that followed her throughout her life. But if you knew her, you also knew she never let any of it hold her back or keep her down.

We are all blessed to have had the opportunity to know her and to learn from her.

Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Page; her father, Merritt Arnold; her sister, Susan Arnold; her brother, Steven Arnold; and her longtime, dearest friend, Robert Carroll.

She is survived by her loving son, Bryan Taylor, and his wife, Debbie; her grandchildren, Natalie, Lucas, and Trenton Taylor; her sister, Sheila; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family who will miss her greatly.

Service arrangements have not yet been made.
