Joni Michaelini Rigdon

Joni Michaelini Rigdon, 61 of Sanderson, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 under the care of Community Hospice at Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital. She was born on February 23, 1965 to Jon Langley and Barbara Herrin Langley. She would become a respiratory therapist for many years, where she felt blessed to be able to help others. She enjoyed gardening, riding dirt roads and cooking for her family. Her greatest blessing in life was being a dedicated grandma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

She leaves behind her children, April (Tyler) Baumgardner of Jacksonville and Joseph Rigdon both of Jacksonville, William Rigdon of Taylor, and Carl Rigdon, III of Middleburg; grandkids, Logan, Trenton, Calessa, Austin, Riley, Raven, Paige, Skilar, Charles, Justin, and Addison; sisters, Patricia (Kenny) Crews and Juanita Rogers both of Sanderson, and Janice Harvey of Glen St. Mary.

A Celebration of Joni’s Life will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 3:00 PM with Chaplain James Stork officiating in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service.
