Julie Suzanne Tampoc, a beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 22, 2025, age 48. Julie was the daughter of proud parents, Jimmy and Debra, born on June 1, 1977. She attended Baker County High School, where she was a member of the graduating class of 1995.
Julie met the love of her life, Jessie Tampoc, beginning their life together in 1999. They spent years making memories, raising a family, and enjoying family trips to Gulf beaches and the mountains, inspired by God’s creation.
Julie was a faithful servant to her church and stood for truth. Alongside her husband she dedicated her time in youth, marriage, and music ministries. She also had a love for entertaining family and friends. Julie enjoyed planning and decorating for get-togethers and had a heart for hospitality.
Julie’s biggest and most important role in life was being a mother. She was a hands on parent, homeschooling her children and seeing that they were rooted in their faith.
Julie leaves behind a family that will cherish years of memories made. She is survived by her husband of twenty six years, Jessie Tampoc of Glen St. Mary; children, Justus (Sarah) Tampoc of Nahunta, Georgia, Jaleb Tampoc of Orange Park, and Jada Tampoc of Glen St. Mary; a grandchild expected to join the family this year; her parents, Jimmy Barton of Glen St. Mary and Debra (Rodney) Riddle of Bryceville; siblings, Jason (Kaitlyn) Barton, Jeremy Barton, Jamie (Gene) Journey, Jennifer (Tony) Griffis, and Karen (Eddie) Silguero; a niece that was like a sister, Allie (Eugene) Murriell; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Julie’s life will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Global Outreach Church, 1396 Chaffee Road South, Jacksonville, with Pastor Simone Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, September 5, 2025 at the church from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Julie will be laid to rest at Mill Creek Cemetery, Hilliard.
The staff of Guerry Forbes Funeral Homes is honored to serve the Tampoc family during their time of loss.
