Kayla Aliece Darras

Kayla Aliece Darras, 21, of Macclenny passed from this life and into eternal rest on Friday, December 26, 2025. Kayla was born on March 24, 2004 and was a graduate of Baker County High School.

Kayla was a gentle soul, kind and loving, with a light that reached far beyond herself.

Her laughter was easy, her warmth genuine, and her compassion unforgettable.

She never met a stranger and would give the shirt off her back without hesitation.

Kayla had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved dog, Axel, who held a special place in her heart.

Kayla dreamed of attending veterinary school and carried many hopes and goals for her future, each one shaped by her caring nature and her desire to help others.

Kayla was preceded in death by her grandmother, Kapriece Swann; her great-grandmother, "Sas"; and her uncle, Joshua Swann.

She is survived by her mother, Heather Swann; her father, Ryan Darras; her siblings, Aubrey Darras and Donnie Michael Morris; her grandmother, Caroline Darras; her uncle and aunts, Adam Darras, Britnie Westbrook and Crystal Lamot; her godmother, Charmaine (Keith) Adams; as well as many extended family members and friends.

She will be deeply missed by so many. Yet there is comfort in knowing that she will never have to feel alone or abandoned, and that her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved and cared for her.

Graveside services will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 12:00 PM at the cemetery.
