Larry Jefferson Lord
February 3, 1954 — January 11, 2023
Larry Jefferson Lord, age 68 of Macclenny passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at his residence. He was a Jacksonville native, born on February 3, 1954 to the late Mr. Tomage and Rosa (Scruggs) Lord. He grew up on the southside of Jacksonville and was active in youth sports. He would go on to attend Troy University and would walk on with the football team.
After school, Larry would move onto a career in sales, most recently in mobile homes. Folks who knew him would call Larry “a true people person”. He loved to cook and also enjoyed fishing. He was an avid Florida Gator and Jacksonville Jaguars fan. He also loved NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt being his favorite driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves behind his son: Taylor (Lizzie) Lord of Jack, Alabama; grandchildren: Adalynn and Brantley Lord of Jack, Alabama; as well as extended family members and friends.
Final memorialization will be by cremation.
