Rev. Mark Woods

Reverend Mark Woods, 75, of Macclenny, passed from this life into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Mark was born on May 29, 1951, in Sanderson to Percy and Evelyn (Griffis) Woods, one of thirteen children.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and Papa Bear who always made his family a priority. Mark never missed a family milestone or event.

For forty-two years, Brother Mark gave his time freely to Taylor Church, serving as pastor because he believed for him ministry was a calling, not a career. He walked hand in hand with people through life's highest highs and lowest lows, faithfully standing beside them through weddings, funerals, and everything between.

Away from church, Mark's entrepreneurial spirit shined bright. He successfully owned and operated several local businesses that employed local people and helped them support their families.

Brother Mark will be remembered for his true servant's heart and his hardworking nature.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Woods of Macclenny; his children, Vikki (Adam) Charboneau of Jacksonville, Marc (Abbey) Woods and Joshua (Betsey) Woods, both of Macclenny, and Bear (Jennifer) Woods of Wetumpka, Alabama; grandchildren, Ava, Elle, Chloe, Kinley, Layla, Winsley, Landri, Bo Winston, Windham, and Winnie Jo; and a host of siblings and extended family members.

Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Taylor Church- Bro. Mark's church home.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the funeral directors and staff of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny.
