Mary Jane Smith Raulerson

Mary Jane Smith Raulerson, 80, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at her home in Green Cove Springs surrounded by her family. She was born in Gouverneur, New York on July 7, 1945, the daughter of Harold and Ruth Ormsby Fields. Mary would live in Baker County for a number of years and worked in housekeeping at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. She also dedicated years of her life to Seminole Power Plant and was also the first female mechanic at Sears Automotive in Orange Park.

Mary enjoyed fishing and trips to the beach. She was an avid country music fan. She also enjoyed the thrill of gambling and going on trips with family to Biloxi, New York and the Hard Rock casino.

She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt and uncle who helped raise her, Leonard and Joyce Mashaw; siblings, Leonard Mashaw, Lester Mashaw, and Terry Simmons; granddaughter, Jessica Payne; and her late husband, Randy Raulerson.

She leaves behind a legacy of love to be cherished by her children, Russell Smith, Tim (Robin) Smith, and Wendy (Doug) Rau all of Green Cove Springs; grandchildren, Misty (Kenneth) TJ (Dani) Shane, Dalton, Gage, Jeremy, David, Miranda, and Zachary; great grandchildren, Pheonix, Landon, Levi, Leland, Wyatt, Emma, Johnsy, and Olis; cousins who were raised like siblings, Lance, Larry, Linda and Linley Mashaw, as well as extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 PM in the chapel. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
