MaryJo Lucille Wiles, Panama City resident and formerly of Wakulla County, passed from this life after an extended illness on Saturday, August 9, 2025 under the care of Big Bend Hospice. MaryJo was born in Jacksonville on April 12, 1963 to Alvin and Carol (Pope) Williams, Sr. She would serve her country proudly in the United States Marine Corp. Mary Jo was a resident of Wakulla County for the majority of her life, working for the Wakulla County Courthouse for a number of years and also spent some time at ACE Hardware.

MaryJo was a social butterly and loved people. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and enjoyed talking and making friends.

She is survived by her sons, Jack (Jaden) Wiles of Panama City and Gordon (Sarah) Hoy of Topeka, Kansas; grandchildren, Alayna Wiles, Krysta Seevers, and Anthony, Emilee, and Sophia Venturella; great-grandchild, Luca Venturella; father, Alvin Williams, Sr. of South Carolina; siblings, Ray (Stacy) Hutton of Medart, Eddie (Christine) Hutton of Crawfordville, Alvin Williams, Jr. of Jacksonville; and Susie (Bill) Herron of Virginia; as well as extended family members and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Williams; and her husband, Mark Wiles.

MaryJo’s life will be honored with a graveside service at Tallahassee National Cemetery in the near future with Rev. Bruce Taylor officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.

The staff of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home is honored to serve the Wiles family during their time of loss.
