Norma Evans

Mrs. Norma Jo Evans, age 68 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016. Mrs. Evans had been a Baker County resident since 1998 and was a retired inventory clerk with Sears, Roebuck & Company. She was a dedicated member of Cuyler Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking for church functions and visiting the sick and shut-in. She loved sitting on her porch, reading her bible. Mrs. Evans loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband: Alderson Evans of Glen St. Mary; sons: Russell Evans of McVane, NC, Randall Evans of Jacksonville and Alderson Evans Jr. of Middleburg; daughters: Cynthia McHenry of Acworth, GA, Dell (Shawn) Castleberry of Hilliard, Chrissy (David) Woodward of Yulee, Alicia Evans of Cuyler, and Lisa Evans of Glen St. Mary; sister: Boni Peterson of Steubenville, OH; thirty three grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the chapel at Forbes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Manntown Cemetery, Glen St. Mary. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Monday, March 28, 2016 at the funeral home.
