Paul Allen Smythe

Mr. Paul Allen Smythe, of Macclenny, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jacksonville to Richard and Margaret Cox Smythe. Growing up, he loved riding motorcycles with his father. Paul became an ASE Certified Master Mechanic and had a talent for building things that go fast. He spent his free time working on his 1966 Shelby Mustang and building model airplanes, helicopters and drones. Having a love for flight, he obtained his pilot’s license and became a private pilot. Paul was devoted to his family and loved spending time with them. He will be dearly missed by his sons: Paul Smythe Jr., Timmy Smythe, Chris (Scooter) Smythe, and Mikey (Rachel) Smythe; daughter: Lachrisha Johnson; brother: Richard Smythe; and thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. 

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home.
