Robert Oscar “Bobby” Bell, 82 of Branford, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 after an extended illness under the care of the Haven Hospice - Suwannee Valley Hospice Center.
Bobby worked most of his life operating heavy equipment, cutting timber for Georgia Pacific. He enjoyed fishing on the river and loved to have a good time with family and friends. You could often find him in his yard, tinkering on tools or equipment, even if there wasn’t anything wrong with it.
He was born in Jasper on May 25, 1943 to Clifford and Ema (King) Bell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Sarah Norman, Betty Mercer, Mary Conger, Margaret “Toni” Alford, Clifford “Ebo” Bell, and Ernest Bell; daughter, Regina Kemp; and a grandson, Kyle Newmans.
He leaves behind his son, Robert “Boo” (Nadia) Bell of Lake City; grandchildren, Korey Newmans, Kaleb Newmans, Lacey Bell, Bradley Bell, Tristan Riley; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Kylie, Brynnleigh, Holdyn, Hydi, and Kazely Newmans.
The family will gather with friends on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home of Lake City.
