Robert Earl Rewis

Robert Earl Rewis, 73 of Sanderson, passed from this life on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Douglas Center under the care of Community Hospice. Robert was one of three boys born to Nathaniel and Minnie Bell (Crews) Rewis. He was born on July 1, 1952 and was a lifelong Baker County resident. Robert was a skilled mechanic and also worked on nurseries and for Bufort Thrift Meat over the years.

Robert was a man who enjoyed a private life. If he considered you a friend, he would give you the shirt off his back. He loved to spend his time outdoors, an avid hunter and fisherman. Robert also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves behind his brothers, Manley (Judy) Rewis of Sanderson and David (Nancy) Rewis of Glen St. Mary; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
