Robert J. Williams, Sr.

Robert J. Williams, Sr., 71 of Columbia, Kentucky and formerly of St. Augustine, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. He was born in Middleton, Ohio on August 18, 1954 to Olen J. and Cora (Childers) Williams. Robert would work for the city of Jacksonville for twenty years until his retirement.

Robert enjoyed antique gun collecting and was an avid outdoorsman. He also was a CB Radio enthusiast, known by his handle, “K14WWE”. Mr. Williams loved conversation and would do anything to put a smile on somebody’s face.

He was preceded in death by his parents and children, Michelle Williams and Robbie Thomas.

He is survived by his son, Robert (Jessica Lauramore) Williams, Jr. of Columbia, Kentucky; grandchildren, Haley, Kendra, Morgan, Bodhi, Mallory, Michelle, and Marie; great grandchildren, Kade and Miller; sister, Jean Lewis of St. Augustine; and nieces, Jessica and LouAnne.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
