Rev. Shannon D. Conner, age 57, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed from this life into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

Shannon was born on November 18, 1968, in Macclenny, Florida, to Leon “Toppy” and Elaine (Raulerson) Conner. He graduated from Baker County High School with the Class of 1986. In his younger years, Shannon enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter.

Shannon faithfully served in the Church of God for nearly 40 years. Throughout his ministry, he was involved in evangelism, pastoral ministry, community outreach, and world missions. He recently retired from Macclenny Church of God after faithfully serving as pastor for 27 years. During his time of pastoring, he earned his master’s degree as a mental health clinician from Pentecostal Theological Seminary. Shannon was a confident and steadfast leader who dedicated his life to serving his family, his community, and the church.

Above all, Shannon was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, and “Papa.” He had a gift for making others laugh and will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, humor, and entertaining personality. His faith, leadership, love for others, and dedication to ministry will leave a lasting legacy in the lives of all who knew him.

Shannon is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Gemini K. Conner of Glen St. Mary; his three children, Katelyn (Jordan) Cauley of Reno, Nevada; Kandace (Cody) Davis and Kolton (Sarah) Conner, both of Macclenny; his precious grandchildren, Blair, Adley, Ivy, Rhett, Navy, and Avery; and his parents, Mr. Toppy and Mrs. Elaine Conner.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Macclenny Church of God, with Rev. Roger Bolman, Rev. Gavin Campbell, and Rev. Tommy Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Eddy Sullivan officiating.

Hawke M.T. Forbes, William L. “Bill” Guerry, and the staff of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home are honored to serve the Conner family during their time of loss.
