Thelma Vereen Randolph, age 72 of Jacksonville went to be with the Lord Friday, August 13, 2021. Ms. Thelma was born in Waycross, Georgia on January 31, 1949, one of fourteen children to Mr. Charlie Vereen and Mrs. Martha (Jones) Best. The family would later settle in Jacksonville, where she would spend the majority of her life. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and the best part of her life was the time spent with her family. In her free time, she did enjoy crocheting and cooking meals for friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson: Renardo Moore; sister Etrenda (Bobby) Davis; and a son-in-law: Terry L. Randolph.

She leaves behind a great legacy to cherish years of memories: her children: Marcus (April) Vereen of Tampa, Patricia Randolph, Melissa Yvette Moore, and Melva (Mark) Drisdom III all of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Markeeshia Vereen, Marcus Vereen Jr., Jasmine Vereen, Nikia Vereen, Marcus Vereen III, Marquise Vereen, Nathaniel Collins, Takeria Moore, Terry Moore, Terrell Moore, Shaianne Dunbar, Kevina Jackson, Javon Mann, Timothy Webster, Jr., Nicole Drisdom, Chela Drisdom, Markey’Sha De’Jonaee, Laquita Culler, Dwayne Edwards, Jr., and Mercedes Moore; great-grandchildren: Leilani White, Alauna Holliday, Jordyn Hughes, Sincere Desir, Jaida Norman, King Norman, Bra-Lynn Strickland, Lamaria Gaulden, Taneisha Moore, Lakeria Burch, Tayjion Burch, Tayvion Burch, Deval Grant, Jr., Scotty Dunbar, Zyaire Scaggs, Amir Scaggs, Joseph Dunbar, Ginger Dunbar, Scotty Dunbar, Jr., Aujare Lawson, Kyng Price, Kamelia Price, Jamir Price, Jamar Price, Timothy Webster, III, Takiyah Webster, LaQuontia Gay, Sam Gay, Mark Drisdom, Marquenda Drisdom, Timothy Karlsen, Tyler Karlsen, Jordan Crewell, and Messiah Dessent; great-great grandchild: Avani Goyens; brothers: Charles (Ruby) Vereen, William Stanley Johnson, Garrison (Erma) Vereen, George (Phyllis) Harris, and Terry (Katie) Pitts; sisters: Debra Harris, Carolyn Littlejohn, Lisa Cooper, Annette Pitts, Teresa Flood, Rachel Best, and Claretha Best; as well as an abundant host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and close friends.

A homegoing service will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Five Points Chapel, 702 Margaret Street, Jacksonville, Florida, 32204, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Aaron Burgin, Pastor of Horn of Salvation Ministries, officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Five Points Chapel. Repast will take place upon conclusion of services at the home of Mrs. Melva Drisdom, 597 Pembridge Court, Orange Park, Florida 32073.

The family asks all that choose to attend the services to please wear a mask.

Final memorialization will be by cremation.
