William Albert Jones, Iii

William Albert “Bubba” Jones, III age 48 of Jacksonville passed away Monday, July 18, 2022 at home with his family surrounding him after an extended illness. Bubba was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, born on March 23, 1974 to Mr. William and Brenda (Wilkinson) Jones, Jr. He would work for nearly twenty years as an electrical contract for JEA and Trees, Inc. Bubba was an avid bass fisherman and loved being on the water. He was deeply involved in his church, serving as the assistant music director. His talents included but were not limited to, playing the piano, drumming, playing the bass guitar and singing.

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-three years: Mrs. Crystal Jones of Jacksonville; sons: William Jones, IV and Joshua Jones both of Jacksonville; parents: William and Brenda Jones, Jr. of Jacksonville; sister: Tammy Jones of Jacksonville; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other extended family members.

The family will be receiving friends Friday, July 22, 2022 at Zoar Southern Congregational Methodist Church from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the church with Pastor Troy King officiating. Interment will follow the conclusion of services at Brandy Branch Cemetery.
